Our deck regularly turns green with algae in the summer. We have pressure washed the wood each year to remove
the stuff. Is there another way?
You should be able to remove most algae with a commercially available deck cleaner.
Most cleaners are applied by garden hose and do not require any scrubbing, they just need to sit on the deck surface for 10
minutes and then washed off. If there are any plants around the deck they may need to be covered or soaked thoroughly
before treating deck and rinsed afterward. Proper protective gear should also be worn for personal safety.
